The Big Change - VEGAN LEATHER
In January I did a one-week liquid cleanse cure (drinking only vegetable juices) that ended up with me becoming a vegetarian, which took an unexpected turn in my life and affected my brand.
Veganism is not just about food, it's also about a complex worldview, of which fashion is a massive part.
Since 2016 I have (sadly) worked exclusively with animal skin, but as the world changes, so do we.
In 2021, it's no longer cool to sell and buy animal products.

From now, we only work with plant-based vegan leathers, based on plants and fruits such as cactus, mango, apple pineapple.
With this change of mindset, we are also changing our corporate identity.
The evolution of our brand has entered a phase that requires a consistent and unified image, which is reflected in our redesigned logo as well.

Cruelty Free Leather
More and more people are opting for "vegan leather", which is a much more environmentally friendly alternative and Cruelty Free.
The vegan leathers we use are making a positive difference by replacing the animal-based product with a plant-based alternative that is environmentally friendly, organic, recyclable, biodegradable and free from toxic chemicals. It also uses far less water than animal leather and can last up to 10 years, making it a sustainable and cruelty-free product.
Many people do not think it is ethical to kill an animal solely to use its skin for clothing, some argue that leather is a 'by-product' of the meat industry.
However, this is wrong, as many of the animals killed in places such as India, China and Brazil are killed specifically for their skins.
